MGTOW. It isn’t some sort of secret secret society or cult. It isn’t a political movement. It has no leadership, no members, no rules. Quite simply, it is nothing more than a phrase which describes what some modern men are starting to do. Some men who have since “gone their own way” may not even be aware of the phrase. Feminists will accuse men who go their own way of being terrorists or misogynists. Others may not understand what drives a man to choose this path. So just what sort of horrendous evil could these men want? To be left alone.
When men “go their own way,” they are doing things such as removing themselves from the dating pool and opting to live alone. Instead of attempting to find a meaningful relationship with a women, they prefer to spend their time indulging in hobbies. These are men from all walks of life, no matter what country they live in or religious beliefs they may hold, now choosing to solely focus on their own happiness and well-being. Some men may decide to still entertain certain types of casual relationships in order to satisfy physical needs, but they will typically refrain from any sort of committed relationship such as marriage.
Detractors are quick to accuse these men of being unable to attract the attention of women. There is a certain irony in this as my personal observations seem to indicate a large number of MGTOW men previously were married to women, and often have kids of their own. A common factor which drove these formerly married men to choose a path in life without women is what the legal system did to these men during divorce. It is believed that 70-80% of divorces are initiated by women, and the legal systems in numerous countries are apparently focused on destroying men for the benefit of these women. Other men are starting to pay attention to these stories and acting accordingly in an effort to protect themselves against this abuse.
How do you go your own way? You just do. Learn an instrument, travel, play video games, read books, start your own business, exercise. All men should want to better themselves, and going your own way allows men to do this freely without the need to maintain a relationship. Modern society fought against the concept of the nuclear family and vilify the men who wanted no part of what now sits in its place. The rules of the game are stacked against men, and they should not be criticized for choosing not to play.
